Monday, August 9, 1875

Aug. 9th, 1875. I took a walk through Malvern with Steed, Morris, and Ballister after another look over Malvern Hill, then over the hill to West Malvern with Brother Steed to visit Mrs. Steed, sister of Henry Turner. After four other calls I stayed over night with Brother Steed at his sister's, Mrs. Chamberlain.

  1. Thomas Steed's record of this day:

August 9. With Bro. Jacob and Br. Morris I went along of [something missing??] my youth, but the weather was too foggy to see far. We followed the old renters path and came to Hency, where at noon Bro. Belleston came; we all four went to Malvern, where we parted two and two; Jacob and myself going to West Malvern to see Jane Steed and daughter; she looks quite young and is doing well. We then called on the widow of John Homes, who was brother of Bro. Thos. Jones (with one leg, living in Weber County, Utah). I had a letter for her. She lives in the same old house that Benjamin Holland used to. We returned to the Wyche.
